Engineering Manager for Manufacturing Operations

Dover Precision Components is in search of an Engineering Manager specializing in manufacturing to oversee their dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with leading and managing the manufacturing and process engineering division. Reporting directly to the plant manager, your leadership will be essential in developing CNC programs, coordinating tooling and fixtures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the Manufacturing Engineering team in the creation and planning of all CNC programming activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine optimal strategies for manufacturing designs.
  • Offer guidance and support to both production and manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Foster a positive work environment while enhancing team skills and performance.
  • Implement Manufacturing Engineering KPIs to enhance departmental effectiveness.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to BOM, routing, and CNC programming.
  • Specify tooling requirements and coordinate with procurement on tooling suppliers.
  • Promote continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
  • Contribute to the establishment of an empowering and collaborative workplace culture.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in precision engineering manufacturing.
  • At least 2 years of experience in team leadership and personnel management.
  • Proficiency in both Offline and On-machine programming of CNC equipment.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication abilities.
  • Capability to drive change using Lean methodologies and Continuous Improvement practices.
