About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Nuclear & Power business at AtkinsRéalis. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in designing electrical solutions for the construction of new nuclear stations and systems at fusion research facilities, supporting the operation of the existing nuclear generating fleet and decommissioning of nuclear sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design electrical solutions for new nuclear stations and systems at fusion research facilities
  • Support the operation of the existing nuclear generating fleet and decommissioning of nuclear sites
  • Assist in the production of bids and proposals
  • Collaborate with the team to drive innovative thinking and deliver high-quality results

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Good engineering judgement and experience in using fundamental engineering skills
  • Able to produce and review/correct technical reports to a good quality standard
  • Motivated and driven to meet delivery/cost targets without compromising quality
  • Awareness of their own technical limitations and using the help and support of others to deliver
  • Understanding of commercial and client management principles
