About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at RPS Group. As a key member of our Water Consulting team, you will be responsible for delivering technical excellence in the design and delivery of electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical delivery of electrical design projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing expert advice on electrical design and engineering.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex projects, including process, civil, structural, mechanical, and ICA disciplines.
  • Identify and cultivate innovative solutions to meet client needs, ensuring optimal technical and commercial outcomes.
  • Ensure projects adhere to quality, safety, and environmental standards, and that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Act as a mentor and technical supervisor for junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
  • Oversee line management and performance development responsibilities for designated staff.
  • Facilitate the capture of critical project and technical knowledge, including innovative approaches.
  • Advocate for the capability and accomplishments of the MEICA team, both internally and externally.

Requirements:

  • Extensive expertise in the technical execution of process plant systems within intricate water industry engineering ventures.
  • Proficiency in participating in design and construction initiatives utilizing digital design methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, fostering a collaborative environment within teams.
  • Substantial experience in the water and/or wastewater sectors.

Qualifications:

  • Preferably degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical subject. Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership.
  • Affiliation with a professional institution like IET, InstMC, or CIWEM, or in the process of working towards membership and nearing application.
