Senior Staff Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Staff Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, leading by example, and contributing to the development of our nursing staff.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans.
- Lead and manage a team of nurses, ensuring effective communication, delegation, and supervision to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement education programs for nursing staff, promoting evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
- Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines for the Emergency Department, ensuring compliance with trust and national standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care, including communication with other departments, agencies, and external organizations.
- Registered Nurse with a Level 1 RGN qualification and relevant post-registration experience in A&E.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in teaching, mentoring, and coaching nursing staff, with a focus on evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
- Basic IT skills, including proficiency in electronic patient records and other relevant software.
- ILS certificate and competency in venepuncture and cannulation.
