Warehouse Operative Job Description

Menzies Distribution is seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Scunthorpe depot. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and prompt picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cooperate fully with the site's safety requirements.
  • Receive deliveries of customer stock from trailers into the warehouse, checking quantities and recording receipt.
  • Pick and pack customer orders to achieve agreed turn-round targets, dispatching orders with appropriate paperwork.
  • Load trailers with customer goods in a timely manner.
  • Put away customer goods from the warehouse floor into the racking.
  • Manual handling of products.
  • Signing for and accepting responsibility for tasks that have been completed.
  • Housekeeping, including physical completion and hygiene checks.
  • Stock integrity and quality checks.
  • Keep the warehouse and outside forecourts clean and tidy, including shelf dusting, keeping gangways clear, and litter removal.
Requirements:
  • 'Right To Work' in the UK.
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • MHE – Reach or Flexi FLT license essential.
  • Good communication and team working skills.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • A professional manner.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility.
