About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Craftsperson to join our Estates team at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our core maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day repairs and statutory planned preventative maintenance across our Trust site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out regular inspection, testing, and maintenance of Air Handling Units and ventilation plant, in accordance with HTM03-01.
  • Inspect, test, and operate steam systems, including boiler plant, as per PSSR 2000 Regulations.
  • Flush and monitor water systems in accordance with Control of Legionella HTM04-01, L8, and the Estates Water Management Regime documentation.
  • Fault find, inspect, and repair mechanical plant and equipment, heating plant and equipment, and any elements necessary to provide statutory maintenance compliance of the built environment.
Requirements
  • City & Guilds or NVQ or Btech (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Essential experience in mechanical installation, inspection, and testing.
  • Desirable experience of working in a hospital environment and holding a current clean driving license.
