Job Title: Domiciliary Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domiciliary Care Assistant to join our team at Richmond Villages, a retirement village provider. As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents to live their best lives.

About the Role:

As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our residents in their own homes within the village. Your duties will include assisting with personal care, supporting at mealtimes, promoting mental and physical activity, and responding to emergency calls. You will work closely with the Domiciliary Care Manager and other external professionals to ensure the best possible care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with personal care duties such as bathing, dressing, and continence care in their own homes within the village.
  • Support at mealtimes where appropriate, serving meals in their apartments or within the care home.
  • Help promote mental and physical activity of residents through hobbies, interests, or activities within the village.
  • Answer emergency calls when the care alert system is activated.
  • Work with the Domiciliary Care Manager and other external professionals as required.
  • Admin duties: keeping accurate records and maintaining full documentation at all times.
Requirements:

We are looking for a caring and compassionate individual who is passionate about supporting others. Ideally, you will have experience working in a care or dementia setting, or hold a Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent). However, full training will be provided. You will be a great listener, with a positive outlook, and be confident talking to residents and their families. Confidentiality is essential in this role, and you will always put the safety and welfare of our residents first.
