**Job Summary**

Thorn Baker Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Designer/CDM Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our consultancy, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to clients on Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide advice and guidance to clients on CDM regulations and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Prepare and submit F10s (F10 Notification) to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
  • Manage design risk and liaise with design teams to identify key hazards and develop strategies for mitigation.
  • Collate and manage pre-construction information, ensuring that all necessary documentation is in place.
  • Liaise with construction teams to ensure the exchange of health and safety information and ensure that all parties are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Prepare and maintain health and safety files, including construction phase health and safety plans.
  • Conduct site health and safety inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies for mitigation.
  • Prepare method statements and risk assessments to ensure that all parties are aware of potential hazards and take necessary precautions.

**Requirements:**

  • Relevant experience in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of CDM regulations and design risk management.
  • Hold relevant professional qualifications, such as PD/CDM certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, design teams, and construction teams.
  • Ability to travel, with a full driving license and own transport.
