Job Title: Registered Manager for Children's Home with Learning Disabilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our children's home with learning disabilities. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the home, providing high-quality care and support to our young people, and ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the home's operational running, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are maintained.
  • Lead a team of skilled staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent care.
  • Engage with children, building strong relationships and setting examples to promote positive behavior.
  • Develop and implement care plans, working closely with social workers and family members to ensure the best outcomes for our young people.
  • Manage referrals, matching, and organization, ensuring the smooth operation of the home.
  • Understand and implement safeguarding processes and policies, ensuring the safety and well-being of our young people.
  • Keep accurate records of support and focus on positive outcomes for the children.
  • De-escalate challenging behavior, working collaboratively with the team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Must have a caring and open-minded nature, with a willingness to work on call.
  • Experience working with learning disabilities and ACEs is essential.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a residential children's setting within the last 5 years.
  • Experience meeting Ofsted requirements is essential.
  • Ideal experience of fit-for-purpose interviews and holding a registration.
  • Hold a Level 5 Health and Social Care Management and Leadership qualification.
  • Ideal hold a Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification.
