Our Automation Department
We are at the forefront of Brother's drive to automate both new and remanufacturing processes worldwide. Our team works on projects from initial design, build, and implementation, both in the UK and overseas facilities. We create bespoke automated equipment and production lines, working with major suppliers and utilising processes such as 3D industrial robots, Cobots, and 3D printing, while incorporating smart factory and industry 4.0 technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Design and develop mechatronic systems and components, including robotics, automation systems, and smart devices.
- Prototyping and Testing: Create prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance standards are met.
- Project Management: Lead or contribute to project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation, including technical reports, design specifications, and user manuals.
About You
We are looking for an experienced engineer with a degree or higher in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. You should have experience in mechatronic system design and development, as well as programming languages such as C/C#, Python. Familiarity with control systems, sensors, actuators, and robotics is also essential. You should have knowledge of industrial automation and manufacturing processes, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
