Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Divisional Operations Manager and staff, including managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and preparing correspondence.
  • Manage and respond to general inquiries from other organizations and individuals, ensuring timely and professional communication.
  • Arrange meetings and take minutes as required, maintaining accurate records and ensuring confidentiality.
  • Conduct financial processes, including processing invoices and utilizing the Salvation Army accounting system.
  • Manage room bookings, including arranging equipment, catering, and room layouts as needed.
  • Maintain both computer databases and hard copy filing systems, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.
  • Assist with the administration and organization of divisional events and initiatives, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Provide administrative support to other Salvation Army churches within the division as requested.
  • Undertake any other duties that fall within the scope of the role.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role within a busy and varied work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A strong appreciation of and commitment to working within The Salvation Army's Christian ethos and key values.
