Job Summary:

This role involves involvement at all stages of the testing lifecycle, with equal emphasis on test documentation and testing on Payment systems. The successful candidate will produce and execute test plans and test scripts within a formally agreed schedule, as well as liaise with customers and other 3rd parties.

Responsibilities:

  • Production of test documentation, including test plans and test scripts/cases.
  • Advising on the scope of functionality requiring testing and associated time and resource requirements.
  • Conducting various types of testing, including Unit, Skim, System, Functional, Regression, Integration, Stress, Certification, and Client end-to-end testing.
  • Creating test scripts on available test tools and simulators.
  • Recording results with appropriate evidence.
  • Problem log management, from initial analysis through to resolution.
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers, both internal and external, to ensure successful resolution of issues found in testing.
  • Analyzing client requirements for defining testing requirements.
  • Peer reviewing of testing documentation.
  • Setting up and maintaining test tools and simulators.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures.
  • Understanding the need for confidentiality when dealing with customer information and payments information.

Qualifications:

Personal Skills:

Desired Technical Skills:

  • Databases (MS-SQL, MySQL).
  • Good understanding of one or more operating systems, ideally Windows or Linux.

Desired Knowledge/Experience:

  • Payment systems and services, e.g., knowledge of card schemes.
  • Payment Systems Software, e.g., Postilion, Lusis Tango.
  • Payment Simulator Software, e.g., Iliad T3 Switch.
  • Microsoft Office family of products.
  • PCI DSS.
  • Test planning and manual testing.
  • Structured Analysis Methods.

Qualifications:

Degree-level qualification (preferably IT-related) or recognized industry qualification (e.g., ISTQB).
