The Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Administrator to join our team in Manchester. As an HR Administrator, you will be responsible for providing wide-ranging HR and payroll administration support to Castore. This will include managing the HR inbox, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring all new starter paperwork is completed and relevant information is provided for payroll.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the management of the HR inbox and escalate queries as required
  • Prioritize your workload to ensure all tasks are completed within the required deadlines
  • Assist in the preparation of HR documents, including offer letters, employment contracts, references, resignation letters, and absence review letters
  • Ensure all new starter paperwork is completed and relevant information is provided for payroll
  • Undertake all required pre-employment checks in a timely manner and update and discuss with line managers accordingly
  • Ensure the HR system is up to date and maintain accurate employee records
  • Support the Associate Director of People with issues and requests relating to ER matters, such as disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Manage probationary periods and return to work documents
  • Support with general administration tasks and projects when required
  • Assist the HR Advisor and Talent Acquisition Manager with administration tasks as required
  • Administrate the weekly and monthly processes to ensure the smooth running of retail payroll
  • Liaise with external accountants providing relevant monthly payroll information
  • Prepare and manage the payroll processes from start to finish, ensuring appropriate review and approval
  • Produce and save payroll reports, pay slips, PAYE remittances, and P45s as required
Requirements
  • Prior HR Admin experience is preferable
  • Excellent administrative and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering advice, guidance, and handling challenging conversations
  • An understanding of the HR employee lifecycle
  • An interest in understanding employment law, its application, and best practice
  • Experience of providing relevant advice on policy and process to line managers and employees
  • Well-organized, prioritizing, and working within key deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work thoroughly, methodically, with an excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
