SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Brent. As a specialist in Autism Spectrum Disorder, you will work closely with students who require additional support and guidance to thrive in a nurturing environment.

About the Role

In this rewarding position, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, helping them to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Your expertise and experience will be invaluable in creating a safe and inclusive learning space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, ensuring that students with Autism Spectrum Disorder receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting respect and understanding among students, staff, and parents.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs or a related field (Level 2 or 3 preferred).
  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other SEN needs.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
