About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Customer Underwriting Advisor to join our team at Bupa. As a key member of our contact centre, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our members receive the best possible health insurance experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess medical reports and liaise with healthcare professionals to establish eligibility for health insurance coverage.
  • Review and process new business applications, maintenance of existing membership, and special condition-related enquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communicate with members to gather relevant medical information and provide clear and concise decisions on their health insurance claims.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure seamless customer service and effective claims processing.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a busy contact centre environment with strong customer focus skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate sensitive medical information with tact and diplomacy.
  • Good attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Proficient keyboard skills and ability to navigate PC systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
