Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Teaching Fellow to join our academic team at Imperial College London. As a Senior Teaching Fellow in Medical Sciences, you will play a key role in designing and delivering innovative education experiences for graduate-entry medical students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality teaching materials and assessments for Medical Sciences 1 and 2 modules, focusing on physiology, pathophysiology, pathology, and medical biosciences.
  • Support curriculum development, ensuring that our programs meet the highest standards of academic excellence and relevance to the medical profession.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to establish effective assessment and monitoring processes, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.
  • Contribute to the development of educational theory and good practice in Higher Education, sharing your expertise with colleagues and contributing to the advancement of medical education.
Requirements
  • A higher degree (MSc or PhD) in physiology, pathophysiology, pathology, medical biosciences, or a related field, relevant to teaching Medical Sciences to medical students.
  • Proven experience in teaching physiology, pathophysiology, pathology, and medical biosciences, with a range of teaching styles and formats.
  • Expertise in planning, designing, and developing curricula, learning materials, and assessments that promote deep learning in students with diverse learning styles.
  • A strong understanding of relevant educational theory and good practice in Higher Education, with a focus on student learning, teaching, assessment, and course design.
