We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Teaching Fellow to join our academic team at Imperial College London. As a Senior Teaching Fellow in Medical Sciences, you will play a key role in designing and delivering innovative education experiences for graduate-entry medical students.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering teaching materials, establishing assessment and monitoring processes, and delivering teaching and assessment of the curriculum. You will work closely with our academic team to ensure that our students receive a world-class education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver teaching materials and resources for Medical Sciences 1 and 2 modules
  • Establish and maintain assessment and monitoring processes to ensure high-quality student outcomes
  • Deliver teaching and assessment of the curriculum, including lectures, tutorials, and workshops
  • Contribute to curriculum development and review, ensuring that our programs remain relevant and effective
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement educational strategies and initiatives

Requirements:

  • Higher degree (MSc or PhD) in physiology, pathophysiology, pathology, medical biosciences, or similar, relevant to the teaching of Medical Sciences to medical students
  • Experience of effective teaching of physiology, pathophysiology, pathology, and/or medical biosciences through a range of teaching styles and formats
  • Experience of planning, design, and development of curricula, learning materials, and/or assessments, that promote deep learning in students with a variety of learning styles
  • Understanding of relevant educational theory and good practice relating to student learning, teaching, assessment, and course design in a relevant discipline in Higher Education
