About the Role

We are seeking dedicated Occupational Therapists to join our Short Term Support Service, making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals across Northumberland.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating interventions designed to enhance independence and empower clients to achieve their goals. You'll work with a diverse caseload of adults facing various health and social care needs, utilizing evidence-based clinical reasoning to deliver personalized support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' needs and develop tailored intervention plans.
  • Implement a range of therapeutic activities to promote functional independence, enhance skills, and improve overall well-being.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including Reablement Workers, Physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of Occupational Therapy services within designated areas or teams.
