We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Enforcement Technician to join our Planning Service team at the Forest of Dean District Council. As an Enforcement Technician, you will play a crucial role in investigating and assisting with a wide range of planning enforcement cases, ensuring compliance with planning regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and identify breaches of planning control, gathering evidence and interviewing stakeholders as necessary.
- Assist with the preparation of enforcement notices and other documentation, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including the public, developers, and other council departments, to resolve planning enforcement issues.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Work independently, prioritizing workload and managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- A minimum of 5 qualifications equivalent to NVQ level 2 or GCSE at Grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English.
- Experience of dealing with the general public in a customer-facing role.
- Excellent customer care skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work with attention to detail, producing accurate and well-presented work.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload, working to tight deadlines.
- Agile working, allowing a mix of home and office working.
- Flexible working arrangements, depending on the role.
