Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior psychological therapist to join our team at West London NHS Trust. As a senior psychological therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to patients across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and inpatient settings.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to clients across the full range of care settings.
  • Supervise psychological interventions and provide clinical supervision to junior staff members.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to the individual needs of each client.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical services and ensure that they are delivered in accordance with best practice standards.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical or counseling psychology, or equivalent.
  • Professional registration with the Health Professions Council (HPC), if applicable.
  • Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course, presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity.
  • Experience of supervising psychological interventions and providing clinical supervision to junior staff members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
