Job Title: Grid Connection Project Manager

First Military Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Grid Connection Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of allocated Grid Connection projects from inception through to cancellation, sale or commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overall accountability for the development and delivery of allocated Grid Connection projects.
  • Responsible for taking forward allocated lead areas to improve the grid connections processes, efficiencies or resolve common project blocking issues.
  • Full ownership of Grid Works design development for allocated projects.
  • Strong project management discipline and best practice - maintain project governance, programme and risk logs.
  • Project planning and delivery to key milestones, with ownership of risk mitigating actions where necessary.
Requirements:
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Relevant PM qualifications (eg PMQ, Prince2) would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Project Management experience in delivering complex infrastructure projects.
  • Experienced in Electricity Transmission/Distribution/Solar/BESS technology.
  • Understanding and or experience of National Grid / Distribution connections process.
  • Experience of managing environmental and safety factors associated with project delivery.
  • Experience of CDM Regs 2015.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
