We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist to take on a senior management position within our Blood Transfusion laboratories at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Blood Transfusion department in conjunction with the Consultant Lead and the team to ensure effective planning and execution of workstreams and programs.
- Develop and maintain a positive and productive department culture, fostering excellent working relationships and promoting the department at all levels of involved organizations.
- Ensure the service meets all statutory, regulatory, and NHS requirements, and is capable of adapting to changing needs and priorities.
- Take a lead in the recruitment, training, and development of all staff in the department, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Develop and deliver a business plan that meets the needs of all Trusts and organizations that are clients of the service, ensuring alignment with network development requirements.

Person Specification- Essential:
- BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science or equivalent (Apprenticeship level 6)
- MSc Biomedical Science (or related subject) or equivalent (IBMS Specialist Diploma)
- Current HCPC (Health & Care Professions Council) Registration
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Evidence of managerial training/advanced technical expertise
- Desirable:
- FIBMS
- CMS/DMS/MBA
