Job Title: Field Customer Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Field Customer Service Engineer to join our team at Heathcote Recruitment Ltd. As a Field Customer Service Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting health and safety checks on CNC machines at various client sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough health and safety checks on CNC machines to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  2. Inspect machine guarding, door interlocks, emergency stops, and other safety features to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  3. Check for any damage to switches, vision panels, rail wipers, and other critical components.
  4. Adjust gibs, check axis drive belts and couplings, clean motor fans, and perform other routine maintenance tasks.
  5. Verify the condition of axis ballscrews, spindle rotation, belt tension, and other critical components.
  6. Identify and report any issues or defects found during the inspection.
  7. Provide training and guidance to clients on proper machine operation and maintenance.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with CNC machines and a strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
