Laser Plasma Diagnostics Industrial Placement Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Industrial Placement student in Laser Plasma Diagnostics. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge research environment and contribute to the development of new diagnostic techniques for high-power laser systems.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development and testing of new diagnostic equipment and techniques
- Contribute to the analysis and interpretation of experimental data
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to design and implement new experiments
- Develop and maintain documentation of experimental procedures and results
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program
- Available to start in summer 2025
- Strong understanding of basic physics concepts (optics, electromagnetism, lasers)
- Computer programming experience (e.g. Python, C++)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
