The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Tutor to join our team, providing one-to-one and/or small group sessions to students with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Selective Mutism, Global Developmental Delay, and Behavioural Challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialised tutoring to students with diverse needs, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students and their families through clear communication and genuine care.
  • Utilise Makaton and other relevant tools to enhance communication and learning.
  • Conduct regular progress assessments and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people with ASD, Selective Mutism, Global Developmental Delay, or Behavioural Challenges.
  • Experience with Makaton.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, special education, or a related field.
  • A current Enhanced DBS is essential.
