About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at The Recruitment Co. on a temporary contract covering 3-6 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the availability of plant and machinery resources to meet operational requirements and minimize downtime.
  • Organize daily workload to achieve the most efficient solution to meet engineering plan demands.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance checks on plant, machinery, equipment, and facilities as instructed.
  • Conduct regular checks on essential plant, machinery, and equipment as part of the planned preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Install new plant, machinery, or equipment, in association with external contractors as required.
  • Consider the demands of engineering on production and liaise with the Maintenance Manager to agree the most effective overall maintenance solutions.
  • Ensure outside contractors undertake their duties to the standard required and in line with general and Company health and safety policy.
  • Contribute actively to the design and development of engineering solutions to problems in consultation with Management.
  • Be available for ad-hoc work and call-outs where required outside of normal hours and subject to prior agreement.
Requirements
  • Previous mechanical engineering experience is essential.
