Restaurant Operations Manager

The German Doner Kebab team is seeking a skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to lead our Basingstoke store. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant, driving sales growth, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Action and implement business performance plans set by the Restaurant Manager
  • Monitor and control restaurant sales levels and profitability
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive sales and customer engagement
  • Prepare and present regular reports on staff control, food control, wastage, and sales
  • Create and execute plans for departmental sales, profit, and staff development

Stock Control:

  • Order and requisition food and supplies to maintain efficient operations
  • Coordinate stock deliveries and maintain accurate records
  • Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to GDK standards

Training and Development:

  • Provide staff training and ongoing support to ensure high-quality service
  • Ensure store staff are well-groomed and smart ready for work
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, sanitation, health, and safety

Customer Service:

  • Meet and greet customers, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries and complaints
  • Ensure customers enjoy their meals and take action to correct any issues

Other Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities for additional revenue growth
  • Prepare duty rosters and maintain cleanliness and hygiene procedures
  • Assist other staff as needed and ensure wastage is minimized
  • Hold a basic Food Hygiene Certificate and conduct daily staff briefings
  • Monitor and record temperature of freezers and chillers
  • Arrange store maintenance as required
