Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team in Runcorn. As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting a student with SEN in one of our user schools.

The successful candidate will have experience working with children who have SEN needs and a passion for promoting independence and life skills. This is a full-time, long-term position that will start from November 4th.

Your day-to-day duties will involve ensuring that the curriculum and learning is accessible for the student, enabling them to reach their full potential. You will work closely with the student to develop tailored support plans and provide one-to-one assistance as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting a student with SEN in a user school
  • Developing and implementing tailored support plans
  • Providing one-to-one assistance and support
  • Ensuring the curriculum and learning is accessible for the student
  • Working closely with the student to promote independence and life skills
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children who have SEN needs
  • Passion for promoting independence and life skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to undertake a new disclosure
  • Minimum of 2 references covering the last 2 years
  • Full and complete 10-year career history
