Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at Tradewind Recruitment. As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in one of our Runcorn user schools.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have experience working with children who have SEN needs and will be passionate about promoting independence and life skills. Your day-to-day duties will include ensuring that the curriculum and learning is accessible for students with SEN, and that they can reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with SEN in a one-to-one setting
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of students with SEN
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure that students with SEN receive the support they need
  • Monitor and record student progress, and report to teachers and other stakeholders as necessary
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children who have SEN needs
  • Experience with challenging behavior
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service, or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure
  • Minimum of 2 references, covering the last 2 years, including your most recent education reference
  • Full and complete 10-year career history
