Estimator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Insight Select Careers. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in delivering best value for money and supply chain solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain accurate estimates and tenders for clients
  • Source new products and materials to meet client requirements
  • Monitor and improve supply chain performance to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness
  • Negotiate with suppliers to agree production plans and prices
  • Ensure project estimates cover all elements of costs, including labor, materials, and overheads
  • Present Profit and Loss summaries to stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers through regular meetings and communication
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an Estimator or similar role
  • Knowledge of production materials markets, including woods, plastics, and metals
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience negotiating and sourcing products, with a focus on cost savings and supply chain optimization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients and suppliers at all levels
  • Hard-working and ambitious, with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering results
