About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Cook to join our team at Chartwells - Schools. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to meet the dietary needs of our clients and customers.
  • Team Leadership: Work collaboratively with our culinary team to ensure seamless food service operations.
  • Menu Development: Identify opportunities to improve our menus and food services, and implement changes as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and customers, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a high level of food safety and hygiene standards, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking of ingredients and supplies.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment and utensils are in good working order.
Requirements
  • Culinary Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of food preparation and service.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, with the ability to maintain a high level of compliance.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
