Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, maintain, repair, and enhance various communication devices
  • Work on public safety equipment installed in vehicles
  • Maintain work areas and test equipment
  • Design and document modifications for new installations
  • Complete necessary documentation and provide training to field technician personnel

Essential Qualifications:

  • Understanding of digital and analog electronics, communication protocols, and network systems
  • Proficiency in radio programming software and tools
  • Ability to read electronic schematic diagrams and communicate effectively with team members
  • Possession of an FCC General Radiotelephone Operators License or equivalent within six months
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license

Additional Considerations:

  • Preference for candidates with formal military or civilian trade school experience
  • Experience with Public Safety equipment is a plus
