Job Purpose
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality neurorehabilitation services to individuals who have acquired brain injuries (ABI). You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment programs tailored to the individual needs of each person we support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert occupational therapy assessment and intervention to individuals with ABI, focusing on areas such as self-care, daily living skills, cognitive function, and leisure activities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on a comprehensive understanding of the person's strengths, challenges, and goals.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, speech therapists, and psychologists, to ensure holistic care.
- Educate individuals, families, and caregivers about brain injury and rehabilitation strategies.
- Monitor progress, evaluate treatment outcomes, and make adjustments to plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
Skills and Qualifications
- Registered Occupational Therapist with a relevant qualification (e.g., BSc(Hons) Occupational Therapy).
- Experience in neurorehabilitation, preferably within an ABI setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to person-centered care and evidence-based practice.
