As Business Manager, you will oversee all aspects of heritage management, including:

You will be responsible for delivering budgeted targets in relation to commercial income and visitor numbers, as well as developing new ones. There will be a specific and time-boxed focus on three priority areas: weddings, accommodation, and filming targets.

You will also be responsible for delivering an integrated Business Development and Marketing Plan, setting the forecast for annual financial and marketing targets.

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in retail, business, marketing, tourism, or visitor services, especially within the charity sector. You will be adept at growing commercial operations and have excellent budget management skills, including regular monitoring and forecasting.

You will also have experience in working with volunteers and community groups, and possess a management style that values communicating openly and effectively with everyone. Your excellent planning, report writing, and time-management skills will help you navigate the complexities of this role.

You will possess practical experience of the operational side of a customer-facing business, and have IT skills to manage EPOS and online booking systems efficiently.
