Corporate Tax Consultant
Location: London
Compensation: £188-312K plus an exceptional benefits package.
Key Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor in the UK, possessing or eligible for a valid Solicitors Practicing Certificate, with 2-6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) and outstanding academic achievements, alongside relevant expertise in corporate taxation, including international tax matters.
Additional qualifications include:
- Prior experience in a law firm, accounting firm, or an in-house tax division is preferred.
- A demonstrated commitment to and experience in tax advisory services, in addition to transactional support.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the capability to articulate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively to clients and colleagues.
- Proven ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment, fostering positive relationships and contributing to a supportive workplace culture.
- Familiarity with tax considerations pertinent to growth enterprises is advantageous, though not essential, provided there is a genuine interest and commitment to the sector.
- Knowledge of UK/US cross-border tax issues for corporate groups is beneficial, with a willingness to further develop expertise in this area.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Corporate Tax Consultant, you will be instrumental in advancing the firm's tax practice within the London office. Your responsibilities will encompass various domains, including but not limited to mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financing, international business structuring for highly mobile clients, UK/US advisory services, and funds taxation. A crucial aspect of the role involves maintaining a flexible mindset and a proactive approach to resolving intricate tax challenges while effectively communicating these matters to clients and internal teams. You will work closely with colleagues across different practice areas, providing specialized tax support and contributing to the firm's overarching goal of delivering exceptional client service. Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver comprehensive tax advice and support on a diverse range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financing, international tax planning, and funds taxation.
- Analyze and address complex tax issues, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and optimizing tax efficiency for clients.
- Engage with clients to understand their business objectives and tailor tax strategies to support their growth and expansion initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues in other practice areas, such as corporate, finance, and regulatory, to provide integrated solutions that meet clients' needs.
- Stay informed on relevant tax legislation and industry trends, sharing insights and best practices with colleagues and clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and guidance to help them navigate tax-related challenges and opportunities.
