Accounts Payable Specialist

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist - EMEA to contribute to our dynamic finance team in London.
This role will provide essential support to the Head of Accounting EMEA, focusing on specific allocated entities across Dubai and Europe. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of accounts payable, VAT management, travel & expense billing, and general ledger month-end processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and verify supplier invoices for accuracy and ensure they are appropriately coded for posting to Oracle systems across Turkey, India, the UK, and Dubai.
- Process all invoices into the AP/GL system accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare payment runs for employee expenses and supplier invoices, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Review employee expense reports to ensure compliance with company travel & expense policies and VAT requirements across multiple regions.
- Collate expense vouchers for onward billing and prepare charge-out information for the US billing team.
- Analyze expense data using Concur expense systems to identify trends and potential savings.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely invoice submission and payment processing.
- Conduct monthly supplier reconciliations to maintain accurate records.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly VAT documentation for review by the Management Accountant.
- Work closely with key contacts in India, Dubai, and Turkey offices to resolve any issues related to invoices and expenses.
- Assist with preparing banking journals for posting payments to the Oracle system, ensuring proper coding for accurate recording.
- Provide ad-hoc support to the EMEA Management Accountant as needed.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in an accounts department, specializing in AP/GL.
- AAT or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Experience with accounting systems is essential; Oracle accounting system knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, is required.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping practices and accounting terminology.
- Strong mathematical, administrative, and organizational skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to identify inconsistencies.
- Excellent prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
