Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and social needs of our students.

Job Description:

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will assist the class teacher in addressing the educational and social needs of students, providing 1:1 support to a pupil with complex needs, and emphasizing the development of social skills during lessons, exercise, and group sessions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and preparing learning activities, resources, and materials for the EYFS curriculum.
  • Support the development of social skills, life skills, and communication skills in students.
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to support vulnerable and complex learners.
  • Contribute to assessments and maintain records of each child's development and learning.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a school support role or relevant child-related experience.
  • Display a caring and professional demeanor, willing to assist with the personal care of pupils.
  • Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education.
  • Must possess the legal right to work in the UK.
