We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dentist to join our team as a Special Care Dentist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients with additional needs, working in a variety of settings including domiciliary care and acute hospitals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a full range of clinical dental care for people with additional needs who have been referred into the service.
- Provide dental treatment as required in a range of locations, including domiciliary care, working at acute hospitals if required.
- Promote and maintain patients' oral health within NHS regulations.
- Provide clinical leadership for the local dental team.
- Work with the wider clinical team and oral health promotion staff in the provision of high-quality dental care for patients.
- Achieve personal performance targets, for both clinical activity and management tasks.
- Provide line management for Band A dental officers and perform line management duties for direct reports.
We are looking for a Dentist with:
- BDS or equivalent qualification.
- Appropriate postgraduate qualification.
- Full registration with the GDC.
- VT Number or equivalent.
- Commitment to CPD.
- On an NHS Dental Performers List.
