About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated Specialty Doctor to join our Ambulatory Palliative Care team at Woodlands Hospice, Aintree site. This part-time position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients and their families facing life-limiting illnesses.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient assessments for patients with palliative care needs, including both urgent and planned appointments.
- Offer expert medical advice and guidance to our community and ambulatory nursing teams.
- Collaborate with the Community Specialist Palliative Care teams (AUH site) to provide crisis intervention domiciliary visits for patients who prefer home care.
- Support the IMPaCT medical ambulatory clinic by providing face-to-face and telephone patient reviews, working alongside senior colleagues.
About You
You will be a highly motivated and compassionate physician with a strong commitment to palliative care. Your experience in oncology and palliative medicine, coupled with your excellent communication skills, will enable you to provide exceptional patient-centered care.
Qualifications & Experience
- Full GMC registration and license to practice.
- Four years of full-time postgraduate training, including two years in relevant acute specialties (or equivalent experience).
- MBBS or equivalent qualification.
- Postgraduate qualification in Palliative Medicine (MRCP or equivalent) is desirable.
