Job Title: Deputy Head of Estates

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head of Estates to join our team at Venn Group. As a key member of our Estates team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operational estates and external clients on behalf of the Heads of Estates.

The successful candidate will be required to meet the estate's key performance indicators and support the department's cost improvement plan. This will involve managing the operational aspects of the estates workshop, including performance, expenditure, essential training, and sickness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the estates workshop, ensuring that all aspects of the day-to-day operational estates are running smoothly.
  • Oversee the management of MICAD and Zetasafe systems to ensure they are operating effectively.
  • Work with the workshop team to ensure that key performance indicators for planned and reactive maintenance are met.
  • Identify and deliver cost improvement plans, obtaining contracts and sourcing contractors as necessary.
  • Collaborate with senior estates managers to ensure the delivery of planned maintenance across the estates, meeting statutory requirements.
  • Act as an Authorised Person for disciplines within the post-holder's skillset, providing backup support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in a Building Services or Construction discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • P405 management of asbestos (or willingness to complete within 12 months of starting in the role).
  • Significant estates leadership experience within a public sector organisation(s).
  • Knowledge of CAFM systems (MICAD) and their results.
  • Experience working in Estates/Facilities Management (ideally within public sector organisations).
