We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Development Manager to join our team at Unipart Logistics. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for driving commercial value into Transport and Distribution through the delivery of organic, efficiency, and new business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Take ownership of opportunity management for Transport, ensuring sincere and appropriate responses to drive business growth.
- Develop strategic and targeted revenue opportunities to increase commercial value.
- Produce data to be shared with Sales and Business Development functions to ensure we are targeting appropriate sales opportunities.
- Work with partners from across the business to develop and deliver leading-edge concepts for optimising Transport.
- Work with business leaders to develop and prioritise a growth plan for Transport and Distribution.
- Support the digital agenda within Transport to increase visibility and identify collaboration across customer opportunities.
- Identify opportunities within existing customers to offer closed book lanes rates by merging transport activity.
- Lead initiatives to drive value creation by utilising assets on non-contracted during periods of inactivity.
- Communicate in a clear, precise, and regular format with all partners and stakeholders, including ongoing project status reports.
- Own metrics and performance indicators related to initiatives to measure overall performance and provide foundation for value creation.
- Work with Finance partners to develop pricing templates to ensure swift and appropriate commercial responses are delivered.
We are looking for a candidate with strong commercial awareness, excellent customer service skills, and good communication skills. You should have a thorough understanding of key commercial levers within a transport operational environment.
