Maintenance Technician

Location: Chester, North Wales, North West
Salary: £30-40k
Main Responsibilities:
- Install, test, maintain, and repair all plant, services, and buildings within the site.
- Assist external contractors as needed.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance in accordance with Shire System.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in workshops, stores, and plant rooms.
- Collaborate with Production to provide proactive support for maximum performance and efficiency of production runs.
- Ensure compliance with company ISO, SAP, and HACCP procedures, maintaining a safe, tidy, and hygienic work environment.
- Adhere to legislation and company hygiene, health, and safety policies, wearing PPE as required.
- Escalate serious issues to the Engineering Manager immediately.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through site improvement projects and personal development opportunities.
- This role operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment or similarly demanding setting is beneficial.
- Proven experience with planned maintenance systems, breakdown maintenance, and installations, as well as knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
