Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Chester, North Wales, North West

Salary: £30-40k

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Install, test, maintain, and repair all plant, services, and buildings within the site.
  2. Assist external contractors as needed.
  3. Perform planned preventative maintenance in accordance with Shire System.
  4. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in workshops, stores, and plant rooms.
  5. Collaborate with Production to provide proactive support for maximum performance and efficiency of production runs.
  6. Ensure compliance with company ISO, SAP, and HACCP procedures, maintaining a safe, tidy, and hygienic work environment.
  7. Adhere to legislation and company hygiene, health, and safety policies, wearing PPE as required.
  8. Escalate serious issues to the Engineering Manager immediately.
  9. Contribute to continuous improvement through site improvement projects and personal development opportunities.
  10. This role operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
  11. Experience in a food manufacturing environment or similarly demanding setting is beneficial.
  12. Proven experience with planned maintenance systems, breakdown maintenance, and installations, as well as knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
