We are seeking a skilled Highways Maintenance Specialist to join our Transportation team at Kier Group. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling works packages for the highways maintenance teams in West Northants.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the planning and execution of transportation infrastructure projects, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of people and goods. As a Highways Maintenance Specialist, you will work closely with Highway Inspectors and Community Stewards to develop maintenance solutions for the network in line with the asset management strategy.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, planning, and scheduling works programmes to meet operational and performance targets.
  • Ensuring works comply with West Northants highways works specification and relevant industry standards.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to achieve key customer-focused outcomes and meet business targets.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong technical knowledge of transportation infrastructure and maintenance practices.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
