Job Description:
We are working with a fantastic Secondary School in Ealing who are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join their team as a Mental Health Support Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD).
- Working alongside a conscientious team of teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff, as well as liaising with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) in relation to students requiring additional support.
- Assisting class teachers with delivering material centered around the core subjects, including English, Mathematics, and Science.
- Leading 1:1 and small group interventions targeting pupil progress.
Requirements:
- A graduate holding a 2:1 or 1st Class degree.
- Experience working with children and SEN/SEMH needs.
- A good understanding of the current curriculum.
- A passion for working with young people.
What We Offer:
- A competitive daily rate of £105-£110.
- A long-term, full-time contract.
- Monday to Friday working hours.
- Term-time only.
