About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Public Relations Specialist to join our team at The People's Pension. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for promoting our brand and messaging across national and regional print and broadcast media.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement creative media plans to promote key issues and maximize media coverage.
- Produce high-quality communication materials, including press releases, comments, and opinion pieces.
- Initiate and deliver media opportunities on a proactive and reactive basis.
- Deal effectively with the media, supplying quotes, interviews, and background information as needed.
- Provide specialist media and public relations input to specific projects.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a press office or as a journalist.
- An established network of relevant media contacts or the ability to build them quickly.
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to convert complex information into engaging language.
- Proven record of devising and delivering creative media plans and placing stories to promote an organization.
