Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department. This role is essential in advancing our clinical practice initiatives and enhancing the quality of patient care. You will work collaboratively with a team of medical and operational leaders, including Senior ACPs and our Trust Lead ACP, to shape the future of healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will operate independently as a qualified Senior ACP, focusing on the Emergency Patient Pathway. Your clinical expertise will be crucial in:

  • Conducting thorough assessments, examinations, diagnoses, and treatments within an established scope of practice.
  • Facilitating the safe treatment, referral, and discharge processes for patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Providing mentorship and support to trainee clinicians, fostering their professional development.
  • Maintaining and enhancing the Trust's reputation for excellence in advanced clinical practice.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • NMC Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Health Care Professional status.
  • A full MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
  • Non-medical prescribing qualifications.
  • A minimum of two years' post-qualification experience as an ACP.

Desirable qualifications include teaching and assessing certifications and advanced life support courses.
