Position Overview:
We are in search of a highly skilled and driven Finance Manager with outstanding organizational and analytical capabilities. This role is crucial for overseeing the administrative, financial, and risk management aspects of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage comprehensive finance operations, ensuring effective financial planning and analysis.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and enhance existing procedures.
- Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager in various countries, guided by Financial Controllers based in key locations.
- Lead and mentor a dedicated team of accountants and controllers in our African operations.
- Supervise the development and execution of policies and systems for all financial services, including accounting, reporting, auditing, budgeting, and compliance with regulations.

Financial Management:
- Oversee accounting, legal, tax, and treasury departments as necessary.
- Participate in strategic decisions alongside the CEO, group CFO, and Financial Controllers as part of the senior management team.
- Ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations as mandated by law.

Risk Management:
- Work with the controller to shape the company's risk management strategy and meet regulatory obligations.
- Implement financial management processes and month-end procedures in collaboration with controllers.

Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare and supervise daily cash transfer reconciliations, finance reports, and transaction processing systems, ensuring transparency.
- Maintain banking relationships and manage accounts effectively.
- Conduct regular field assessments to ensure optimal use of investments.
- Prepare year-end accounts and oversee the annual audit and statutory filings.

Qualifications:
- Internationally recognized qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within a dynamic environment.
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) is advantageous.
- Proficient in Tally, Sage Accounting Software, or similar accounting systems.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, including VLOOKUP, formulas, and pivot tables.
- Familiarity with the retail, online, or gaming sectors.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and IFRS standards.
- Proficiency in English and French is required.

Please note that the training and role will be based in one of our African operations.
