Healthcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team at Active Care Group. As a key member of our residential child care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist and Support: Assist and support other staff in the overall management and organisation of the home to ensure its smooth and efficient running.
- Establish a Positive Atmosphere: Help to establish an atmosphere in which children / young people can, with good basic structures, be supported, stimulated, and provided with the opportunities to achieve their full potential at the level suitable for the children/young people.
- Implement Care Plans: To be involved in implementing established care plans for the children/young people.
- Recreational Activities: To be involved in individual and group recreational activities as appropriate.
- Provide Personal Care: To provide children/young people within the residential home care after appropriate training has been undertaken.
- Reporting and Documentation: In conjunction with Seniors to write reports on individual children/young people.
- Domestic and Practical Tasks: When necessary and where requested, undertake domestic and practical tasks as required.
- Basic Needs: To provide the basic needs of the children/young people including, where appropriate, help with feeding, dressing, toileting and washing / bathing.
- Link Worker: On completion of a satisfactory probationary period to act as a link worker to a small number of individuals in accordance to current guidelines.
- Staff Meetings and Training: Attend and participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions, on annual appraisal and training events.
- Community Involvement: Help the development of community involvement and understanding.
- Reporting and Communication: Bring to the attention of Seniors the needs of both the children and the establishment as a whole.
- Additional Tasks: To undertake any specific tasks delegated by the manager related to the running of the establishment.
- Strong Organisational Skills: Strong organisational, time management, planning and communication skills.
- Experience with Children: Experience with supporting children.
- Flexibility and Reliability: Flexible, professional, and positive approach to multi-site working. Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping.
- Teamwork and Self-Confidence: Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual. Self-confidence and ability to manage challenging situations.
- Competitive Salary: £24,553 Per Annum.
