Job Title: Clinical Team Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Team Leader to join our Elective Orthopaedic Theatres team at the Leicester General Hospital.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader with excellent communication skills to join our team. As a Clinical Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients and service users, while also leading and coordinating a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as an expert clinical practitioner, providing excellent quality of care to patients and service users.
  • Practice clinically in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for a defined caseload.
  • Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, ensuring high standards of patient care.
  • Participate in formal and informal teaching, supporting the development of learners in the area.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • RGN/ODP first level qualification.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Practice assessor preparation day.
  • Recent experience supporting learners.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience

We would also like to see:

  • Clinical leadership program.
  • Recognised NMC/HCPC teaching and assessing qualification.
  • Audit experience, research skills.
  • Experience in emergency and obstetrics.
