Position Summary

We are in search of skilled Cloud Network Architects ready to advance their careers by joining our Cloud Centre of Excellence team.

As a Cloud Network Architect at BJSS, you will set a standard for excellence and illustrate the potential of innovative solutions.

You will serve as a technical authority at the core of our engagements, managing technical risks while generating substantial business value.

Your role will require a hands-on approach when necessary, balancing innovation and intellectual rigor with practical implementation.

Collaborating with a talented and creative cloud team, you will make informed cloud technology decisions for our clients and contribute creatively to our cloud accelerators.

Your work will involve partnering with some of the largest companies in the UK, helping them to define their Cloud architecture and shape our future Cloud strategy. This includes articulating compelling narratives for change, establishing goals and objectives, and selecting strategies to achieve those objectives, supported by a robust business case.

BJSS Cloud Network Architects are recognized thought leaders, eager to share insights on the latest trends, whether through digital platforms or in-person engagements. They are trusted advisors at the executive level, adept at leveraging their expertise to ensure clients maximize their technological investments.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience from a blend of industry and consulting roles, excelling in building and nurturing peer-to-peer relationships at all organizational levels.

Required qualifications include:

  • Experience in Agile (Scrum & Sprint-based) development and delivery
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and resilient network architectures in both traditional and cloud environments, with the ability to adapt to various networking vendors and optimize cloud-native technologies
  • Experience in business development and client account management
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities
  • A strong record of leadership
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment

Technical Skills Required:

  • Possession of relevant certifications, such as:
  • AWS Certified: Advanced Networking – Specialty
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
  • Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • Juniper Networks Certified Professional (JNCIP)
  • Proficiency in implementing designs through code, with a strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or Bicep.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, Containers, and Infrastructure as Code
  • Knowledge of Networking Protocols and Services: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, BGP, OSPF, etc.
  • Understanding of Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, and Multi-Cloud networking
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices in network management.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Security and High Availability Content Delivery.
